Gimp 2.XX Splashscreen test

Hi all

This is one of my crazy experiments with gimp just for fun

I am making a GPS theme based on GTK librarys and therefore i have made a new splashscreen based on marvin_x user "nebula practice II "image, founded in the gimptalk art

galleries.(hi Marvin, thanks for this beautiful piece of art.)

but there is a problem i can´t use the entire image becouse then the planet seem to be small, very small at 400 px width.

Anyway this is a simbolic idea not a working or a developer splashscreen.This is how i see the gimp 2.8 .like a reborn of an idea .lot of changes will come with 2.8

I have used GPS to add stars in the supernova with Nebulae preset and Dust presets. Then i have used GLow lights to emphasize the bright tones.and then i have mixed all together creating textures inside the nebula with the smudger tool ,jitter smudge preset. Then cropped for splashscreen resolution and added Logo and title.

Este es uno de mis locos experimentos con Gimp solo por divertirme.
Estoy haciendo un tema GTK para gimp paint Studio basado en las librerias GTK y mas concretamente en el tema inkpot. Por eso he hecho este splashscreen basado en la imagen de marvin_x "nebula practice II" encontrada en la galeria de arte del foro de gimptalk.
(Hola Marvin, gracias por esta bonita pieza de arte).

Pero hay un problema, no puedo usar la imagen completa porque entonces el planeta parece muy muy pequeño a 400 px de ancho.

De cualquier forma esta es una imagen simbolica no un splashscreen oficial o de los desarrolladores.Asi es como veo gimp 2.8, como un renacimiento de una idea . y es que Muchos cambios vendran con la version 2.8

He usado GPS para añadir estrellas en la supernova con el preset "Nebulae" y los presets "Dust". Despues he usado "glowlights" para enfatizar los tonos brillantes y despues lo he mezclado todo añadiendo texturas dentro de la nebula con el "smudger tool" y el preset "jitter Smudge" . he corregido el color con el ajuste de curvas , y he dado algun toque puntual con el aerografo en modo color para crear algunas zonas que contrasten un poco.Despues he recortado la imagen a la resolucion necesaria para el splashscreen y he añadido el logo y el titulo.

Este es el splashscreen segun se ve en mi Gimp 2.6.7, no es realmente el 2.8 (solo en mis sueños pero quien sabe no?)
